The Lord blessed us with a beautiful sunny spring day as His people gathered to acknowledge this year's National Day of Prayer on May 3rd, 2007. Well over 400 from Kings County attended the luncheon and prayer program. This year's theme was "America, Unite in Prayer", and the reference scripture was 2 Chronicles 7:14, "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive them their sin and heal their land." |

Lemoore High's Tiger Stadium was packed with people this past weekend. People united in a goal - to make a difference for those struggling with cancer. "The total is phenomenal, up from last year. The overall total is a little over $250,000 so far. More importantly 170 survivors were acquainted with the services of ACS and 47 pony tails went to make wigs for kids. It was a great day, even though it was hot. Thanks for making this an important project for our church. Love you guys!" said Bennie Harrell, the event coordinator. |
