Relay for Life

Lemoore First Baptist was an active participant in the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life April 30-May 1 at Tiger Stadium.  Karen Danley and Bennie Harrell served on the organizing committee, Pastor Jeff participated in the Luminaria Ceremony, people from the church helped in a variety of roles, and Karen, Alyssa, and Austin Danley shared their family testimony about battling cancer proclaiming that their faith in God and the support of family, friends and  their FBC family have carried them through.

The Welcome Sunday School class sponsored a team of 20 walkers that raised over $1700, and many others in the church family were on other teams.  You could not walk away from this event without feeling God's presence and experiencing the joy that only He can provide.  A record breaking $121,000 was raised to help in the battle against cancer and to provide services to our local community.   We are already looking forward to next year's event with plans for more FBC teams.  Thanks to all who participated with your time, money, talents, and prayers.
