Once again, we had a wonderful day of fellowship, food, and fun at our Annual Church Picnic at the NAS Lemoore Village Pool. There were over 350 people from our church family who were able to attend this event!! One of our special “highlights” of the evening were the 13 baptisms that we were able to witness. God is so good and is, definitely, doing a great work here at South Valley Community Church. Not only have we seen a growth in numbers this past year, but we have been able to observe spiritual growth among many of our people, as well. Going through the 40 Days of Purpose, having more and more small groups developing, watching what God is doing in our Bible studies, etc… this is just a small part of the HUGE picture that God has in store for us. We just want to give thanks and praise to Him as He allows us to be just a small part of the outreach for this community. Continue to keep our church in prayer and to pray for each person who is committed to the vision we share here at South Valley Community Church. “…we should always pray…” Luke 18:1b (NLT)
“… give your bodies to God because of all He has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice – the kind He will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship Him. Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect… don’t think you are better than you really are. Be honest in your evaluation of yourselves, measuring yourselves by the faith God has given us. Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, so it is with Christ’s body. We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other.” Romans 12: 1b-2, 3b-5 (NLT) |
