Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible School is off to a great start with over 180 children attending on the first night! The children and volunteers are having a great time learning new songs, jumping, shouting, and singing.

The bible story tonight was based on the scriptures from I Kings 18:16-46. We learned how Elijah showed lots of people that God is real. He wanted them to believe in God. First, the people who believed in Baal called out for Baal to light their altar on fire. Nothing happened! Then Elijah poured lots and lots of water on his altar. He called to the one true God, who sent fire down to Elijah's altar. The fire burned up the water and the altar and everything!

Children made snacks to eat and crafts to take home based on tonight's bible story.
